We've had an overwhelming amount of new visitors lately, thank you so much! Each visit and comment is truly appeciated.
Some of you have asked about link exchange. Unfortunately we have to deny your requests as we prefer to keep Happy Snappy purely for this photo project. But we promise to do our very best and pay back every visit at some point!
New Follower! I from Wisconsin and I truly love this project that you are doing. It fasinates me and drives my ambition to take more photos and explore.
What if we apply Jaana and Kia's style in our personal blogs and acknowledge that it was inspired by theirs? Dedicate an entry as appreciation for the novel idea.
Hello Friends! Love your blog! Your two cities are an intriguing contrast with each other, very symbolic of two friends in separate parts of the world. I like how together they represent possibilities of where people can work and play, and the individual rhythm of daily life each represents.
The waterway city is visually symbolic of the past and future. For instance, the sunless calm blue sky, coupled with a gray, almost choppy river, makes the viewer wonder: Is there a storm brewing? Did the boats leave? Take a look at how the coloring of the buildings changes from the ground going up: Is this an illusion of an ancient flood?
The street side city just makes me want to visit! How charming the road is with pavement and bricks, the placement of the yellow car just screams “road trip”! I also like how the road gently curves and peaks on a hilltop. Really invites the viewer to know more about the location.
I hope this is the type of input you want to hear:)) Pat - South Georgia USA
@Cherie, I, too, found this by clicking on next blog. I just created mine. If I go backward, I should find yours. This is beautiful photography. I will follow. Dhila, what side of the globe are you on?
Just stumbled across your blog by accident--what a fabulous idea! Love the way it lets you stay connected while enjoying the differences in your perspectives and situations. Beautiful photos!
Love the European pics. The one on the left looks like Sweden possibly or Norway. The left looks Eastern bloc. Would have loved to have been either place.
found this lovely blog accidentally when I click the 'next blog' button, so refreshing...I enjoy your pictures so much. thanks....somehow, your pictures recharge my mood to face all these freaky things to do!!!
Just ran across your blog and LOVE it. Had to follow. And I love the idea. My sis-in-law and I are both photographers and love working together, but sadly, she's going to be moving very soon. We're thinkig about doing something sorta like this to keep up on each other's photography. Love it!

I love the concept of your blog. I thought of Dicken's, A Tale of Two Cities. If I was encountering the site for the first time, I would have thought the photos were two different views of the same city.
@yummy yummy: We never discuss about a theme vs. photos beforehand, so each other's point of view for the theme is always as big of a surprise to us as it is to you. Afterwards we do chat about where and when the photos were taken, and often we have noticed that "great minds think alike". :) This has been a very interesting project so far, and we're looking forward to seeing what you and your friends come up with!
A photography collaboration project by two friends far apart, a Finn in her native Finland and an Italian expat living in Scotland, sharing glimpses of their life by a previously chosen theme.
We will post our shots (Jaana on the left, Kia on the right) each Sunday, without discussing about them beforehand, wanting our own individual views and interpretations to be a surprise in hopes to learn a thing or two about each other, about how we see the world.
We'd also love to hear how the themes inspire you. How would you have interpreted them?
