A photography collaboration project by two friends far apart, a Finn in her native Finland and an Italian expat living in Scotland, sharing glimpses of their life by a previously chosen theme.
We will post our shots (Jaana on the left, Kia on the right) each Sunday, without discussing about them beforehand, wanting our own individual views and interpretations to be a surprise in hopes to learn a thing or two about each other, about how we see the world.

This is a wonderful idea! I love it!
Maybe it is just the mood I'm in but the photo of the sky, solitude, the freedom of complete solitude. Thats what it says to me.
The weekly theme idea is delightful, but even if you weren't doing that, it would still be quite a pleasure to come and feast one's eyes upon the photos. You ladies certainly have a gift!
I like the contrasting color on the street sign.

The sky picture, in particular, speaks to me. Majestic, dark, yet somehow empowering. Makes me think of unbridled freedom.

How would I have interpreted the theme "high"? I would have shot it from the roof of a tall building, looking down on traffic or a beautiful park or something.

@Dhila Backstrom: That's a very clever interpretation of 'high', and what lovely colors.
@inger: The 'thing' in Jaana's photo is a seagull up in the sky.
@Sushiboofay: We take turns posting the photos. We usually send our photo in a zip file to the one who's going to update, so that there is no peeking beforehand. ;)

This is a really great idea! My two best friends live super far away (Alaska and France, and me in Arkansas!). It's so hard to keep in touch but this is a great way.

The theme of "high" is interesting. My take on the photos: Jaana's I felt was literal and that was only when I was able to spot the bird in the sky. Initially it came across as a thick could of smoke and well I thought "getting high" :). But even with the bird in view to give a sense how high it is, the sky seems endless in its vertical climb. I enjoyed Kia's photo too. It has a kin of unexpected/surprising nature to it...does that make sense? Perhaps because the aim is on the word, at least that's my interpretation. And not just the word but the translation of a word(s)i.e An Ard - Shraid = High Street. It's really cool. Love it! Thanks!
