Hello everyone, time to reveal last week’s mystery theme. It was indeed “train”, as many of you have guessed. We want to thank you all for sharing your ideas about the theme. Your creativity amazed us and we are very excited to do mystery themes more often from now on. :) For those of you who started following us only recently, you can have a peek at our previous mystery themes’ entries HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE. Thank you all for stopping by, have a happy (snappy) day!
I truly love your BLOG and the idea behind it. I am inspired every Sunday and the pictures are always beautiful. Again, you two do a great service to we peons who follow your Blog. Love from the desert.blogspot.com
Thanks a lot for your blog, I really like it) I wish I could invite you on my page, but I guess you don't understand Russian and mine blog is more about reading than enjoying photos ^^
He ate some magic mushrooms dreamed dreary dreams thought he was the ocean itself felt big feel free felt like he was all under that tree he loafed and liked and loved the wind he loved the wind from the sea it was him, it was us it just was
I've stumbled upon a happy find! What a great idea and as a Scot who\s been to Finland, I was just wondering where they're taken - I thought I recognised the Scottish town as Dunbar or there abouts but it isn't! Anyway, love the idea!
glad I stumbled upon your blog. Been to Finland about a hundred million times and still adore it. Really nice pics. The second one makes me want to go to England. ^
Your site is terrific and I have really enjoyed looking around. I can't wait until the next week to get more pictures and see what you two come up with. I am going to recommend your blog as part of BlogDay 2010.
I too like you choice of photographs. Great definition! You have positioned the subject matter in the correct rule of thirds and make the viewer invision what is happening in the story byline.

A photography collaboration project by two friends far apart, a Finn in her native Finland and an Italian expat living in Scotland, sharing glimpses of their life by a previously chosen theme.
We will post our shots (Jaana on the left, Kia on the right) each Sunday, without discussing about them beforehand, wanting our own individual views and interpretations to be a surprise in hopes to learn a thing or two about each other, about how we see the world.
We'd also love to hear how the themes inspire you. How would you have interpreted them?

Two very different approach on the theme yet you both captured the theme well.
Fantastic interpretations!
I absolutely LOVE this idea (themes). My friend and I just started a photo blog and may try this out!

I only recently started following your blog and already I love it.
I really like the mushroom picture. Something about macro shots really appeals to me.
Beautiful photos, but what is the correlation between the two shots?
Greetings from Francesca
Glad I stumbled upon your blog! Awesome pictures that offer a glimpse of the places you have been and places that I want to see!

hey friends these r some really cool pics that i have seen ever nice work would like to see more.
@Marie Christine: We're looking forward to seeing you and your friend's photo project, if you ever decide to start one!
@Francesca: The correlation between the photos is the theme: Jaana's photo was shot low, Kia's is of low tide. :)
@Everyone: Thank you so much for your input! Your comments and support mean a lot to us!
@homensdopantano: What a lovely poem that 'connects' our two very different photos together.
@we3: Kia's photo of the boats was taken in Pennan, a small village in Aberdeenshire.
@we3 & cherie from Jaana: How nice to hear that someone has actually been to our small country. :)
Thanks Jaana and Kia - I went to Mikkeli and Helsinki and absolutely loved it!
this is such a great blog! love the pics! you guys are amazing!
